Wendy Edwards

I have been creating, designing and sewing for over 40 years. My fascination with design- particularly clothing design- began at age five. At age seven, I started sewing and designing, and have not stopped since.

After my studies in education and philosophy at Earlham College, I was later drawn to the Mayer School of Fashion Design in New York City. As someone who has always loved functional art, I eventually settled into designing accessories.

I design and produce all of my work from start to finish, beginning with concept, fabric selection, pattern making and construction.

Each of my handbags is cut by hand and produced one at a time. The fabric often dictates the design. I am drawn to very beautiful and unusual fabric, as well as fabric that is well made and durable. I pay particular attention to the appointed details of each bag, from linings to pockets and closures. When sewing the bags, I use a combination of industry techniques and techniques I have developed myself.

It is my joy to be able to offer a handbag that is well constructed with distinctive style, solid functionality and durability.
