ARTIST'S BIO AND STATEMENT:
Deborah Dougherty Wester is a painter and Cazenovia resident. She studied Fine Arts at St. Michael's College in Vermont, attended classes at the Art Students League in NYC, and completed many workshops. Recently she was apprenticed for ten years with master painter Genevieve Redmond. Deborah has had many solo and group shows, been represented in galleries, and is a member of various art societies. She has work displayed at 9 Albany Street, Cazenovia, the Empire Brewery in Armory Square, and CNY Gallery, Cazenovia.

"Inspiration and beauty are everywhere. I am fascinated with nature and the serenity in rural life. The sweeping landscapes, with their rolling hills and pastoral farms, offer tranquil settings to capture. I see cows grazing, corn and oat fields, a variety of cloud formations and idyllic lakes. I feel compelled to express my surrounding, saddened to see a soulful way of life fade."
